Reviews

Cleaning company reviews in Ottawa — a worked example.

Cleaning company reviews in Ottawa are the single thing a homeowner reads before booking. This page shows how we build that page. Everything on it is invented.

Every review on this page is fiction.

Casement Cleaning Co. does not exist and has never cleaned anybody’s house. Nobody wrote these. The names are invented, the neighbourhoods were picked off a map, and the dates are made up. They are here to show what this page looks like — the typography, the range of lengths, the service tags, how a four-star review sits honestly next to the fives.

On a real client site, this page works differently in three ways that matter:

  • Every review is verbatim from its source, typos included. Excerpts are cut at paragraph boundaries and labelled as excerpts.
  • Each one links to the review itself on Google, not to a search result — so anyone can verify a quote in one click.
  • There is still no Review or AggregateRating structured data, because reviews collected on Google belong to Google. Republishing a platform’s reviews under your own markup is the pattern that earns a manual action.

That last rule applies twice over here: marking up invented reviews as structured data would be fabricated review markup. So this page emits none, and the star counts below are plain text a human can see.

We've been on the every-two-weeks schedule since February and it's the same two people every single time, which matters more than I expected it to. They know where things go now. I stopped doing the pre-clean-before-the-cleaners thing about a month in.

Got the full deposit back. The property manager actually commented on the oven.

Booked a deep clean before my in-laws came for two weeks and I genuinely did not expect the window tracks to be part of it. Ours are original to the house and had about fifteen years of grit in them. They came out.

The quote I was given on the phone was the amount I paid, which after my last experience with a cleaning company in this city is worth saying out loud.

Very good work and very reliable. Only reason it's four and not five is the first visit ran about forty minutes past the window I was given and I had to move a meeting. Every visit since has been on time, and they did message ahead the one time they were running late.

Two large dogs, one of which sheds like it's a job. I've been through four cleaning services in six years. This is the first one where I don't find the fur that's collected along the baseboards after they leave.

They also use the unscented products without me having to ask twice, which sounds small and is not.

Kitchen reno finished and the drywall dust was in rooms on a different floor. They came out, looked at it, quoted, and then came back a second time a week later when more dust had settled — which they'd told me would happen. No extra charge for the second visit, it was in the original quote.

The shower door. Fifteen years of hard water. I had written it off as permanent. It is not permanent.

I travel most weeks and they hold a key. That's a level of trust I don't extend easily, and the reason I was comfortable doing it is that they volunteered the police-check and insurance paperwork before I got around to asking for it.

Moving out of a rental with a landlord I'd describe as attentive. Booked the move-out clean mostly defensively. Inspection took about four minutes and he didn't find anything, which given the previous three years of correspondence was a small miracle.

Worth every dollar for that alone.

Windows are genuinely streak-free, which I've never managed myself. Docking a star only because I'd assumed the add-on covered the outsides too and it doesn't — that's on me for not reading properly, and they did say so on the phone.

Third year with them. Nothing to report, which is the entire point of a cleaning company.

I have a mild sensitivity to most cleaning products and had more or less accepted that having someone else clean the house meant two days of headaches afterwards. Asked about fragrance-free and got a proper answer — what they use, what's in it, and what they'd swap.

    No headache. First time.

They also left a note about a slow drain in the ensuite that I hadn't noticed. It was about to become a real problem.

Adding the linen service to the recurring clean means I come home on a Thursday to a made bed with clean sheets on it. Cheapest luxury I have ever bought.

Small house, tight budget, and I was slightly embarrassed asking whether monthly was even worth their time. Got a straight answer about what monthly would and wouldn't keep on top of, and a suggestion to do one deep clean first and then go monthly from there. That's what we did and it was the right call.
